...Nine Lessons and Carols is broadcast live from the chapel @ King's College, Cambridge on BBC4 @ 15.00 (3 p.m.) Christmas Eve -- which is 1 a.m. Christmas Day Guam time. I've always tried to listen live but this year I think I'll hunt around on the Internet for an on-demand webcast -- perhaps BBC4 will accomodate. To calculate when the live broadcast happens in your time zone use the TimeZoneConverter.com tool.

...About 70,000 holiday travelers are stuck because thick fog has shut down London's Heathrow Airport.

...In the US more than 1,000 flights were canceled because of the blizzard that shut down the Denver Airport.

...On Guam it's a beautiful breezy day (toggling between sun and rain) and the airport is open for business. Kent and Betsy should be on the ground in Honolulu right now (10:15 a.m., Friday) -- taking off in less than an hour -- scheduled to arrive here at 6:50 p.m. I'm grateful for the opportunity to have the family together this year.
