I bought a new ukulele this evening -- a mahogany
Kala 6-string tenor uke. A tenor is about 5 inches longer than what people think of as a normal ukulele (soprano uke). The sound of the tenor is a lot fuller. On the 6-string instrument the C and A strings are doubled -- with the duplicate being an octave lower than standard. Most people don't realize that you can actually get a very rich sound out of a ukulele -- and with the two extra strings it is all the more mellow. This one has
an active P3 pick-up with equalizer, just in case I turn professional. :-) JB's Ukulele Hut in the Agana Shopping Center got my business.
