Random

~~ Dunkin' Donuts is giving away free iced coffee today. At that price even I might be willing to try it (I'm not a coffee drinker). However, no DD on Guam. Ruby Tuesdays and Chili's are on the way, though. We can expect more generic American restaurants with the relocation of the III Marine Expeditionary Force from Okinawa, which starts next year.

~~ Our new accordion typhoon shutters were installed over all our windows and doors today. So our concrete bunker condo is now ready for typhoon season, which generally starts in April or May and ends in November or December (although typhoons have been known to ignore the seasonal designations). Fortunately, last season all the major tropical storms skirted past Guam, which is smack in the middle of typhoon alley.

~~ It appears that I am the only regular PIBC faculty member who will be left on Guam for the summer. That means I get to teach THE summer session class. I will probably teach world religions.
