~ General Motors is going to unveil three new minicar concepts. Customers will be able to vote for the one they like the best. What a novel concept -- asking customers what they like. I'm all for doing whatever it takes to give these gas-sipping mini's a chance to take root in our bigger-is-better culture.

~ American Universities are looking to establish satellite campuses in India. That's one way to deal with the Homeland Security barriers which are making it more difficult for foreign students to study in the US.

~ Dayspring Center for Christian Studies in Boulder, Colorado is morphing into Rivendell College. Perhaps their football team will be called the Fighting Rivendell Hobbits! They have an interesting faculty -- none of whom look too elfish.

i don't know. Hobbits don't go to Rivendell very often, and only one ever lived there on a permanent basis.
