Covenant Logo -- TM: Evangelical Covenant Church~ John Wenrich, the Covenant's congregational revitalization resource person, has a new blog. Yesterday he posted on asking good questions, listing 25 important questions that congregations need to be asking themselves.

~ So what exactly am I supposed to do if the kid selling tickets at the movie theater asks if I want senior citizen tickets?

~ It's not quite as clever or amusing as 1 & 2 but Shrek the Third was plenty of fun. I think, though that Shrek and Fiona are less green than before. It might be that ogres grow more brown as they mature.

~ Taking solar power to rural Madagascar -- 2 minute video.

~ "Retired people love video games!" Wow. That's something to look forward to. (NS -- nota sarcasmus)

~ Tony Blair plans to become a Roman Catholic once he leaves Downing Street. I've heard that before. But now that he is actually packing his boxes...

~ Yolanda King who was my age died on Tuesday.

~ Grilled cheese specialty restaurant -- sounds tasty.

~ Don Johnson is asking, "Is there a correlation between homeschool and emergent church?" Perhaps we might say that they are both rooted in a certain perspective of individual autonomy. Furthermore, both tend to distrust institutions and authority. Other than that I can't think of anything.

~ The Diocese of Forth Worth plans to split from the Episcopal Church USA. (UPDATE)

~ I'm still trying to figure this one out. The governor withdrew restricted funds from the bank but after withdrawing decided to use the money for something else that wasn't consistent with the restriction. But it's unclear as to whether he withdrew $4 million or $8 million. We have a pretty relaxed approach to accounting out here in the middle of the Pacific.
