There are some very serious Dallas Cowboys fans in my family so I thought I'd mention their new $1.1 billion arena, scheduled to open next year -- the largest, techy stadium in the NFL -- the world's biggest hi-def LED screens -- and in true Texas style the biggest sports facility of its kind in the universe. How about them Cowboys! ~ link

No shortage of construction material -- Joel Paschal and Marcus Eriksen sailed a raft made out of discarded plastic junk from California to Hawaii to make a point. ~ link

Some Chinese school children in KunMing Province are getting school uniforms sponsored by and bearing the logo of Marlboro. There are all kinds of snarky things I could say about the Chinese government and the tobacco industry but I doubt that they care what I think -- they don't even care about the lives of children. ~ link

The number of registered voters on Guam is at a 14 year low -- which means my vote is all the more significant. I'm planning to vote on September 6th -- against legalized gambling (again) and for the senatorial candidates who have never been in the Senate (or the AG's office). ~ link
