Obama's Muslim slip

McCain's strategy is to lay low -- or at least relatively so -- and hope that Obama will make enough mistakes that undecided voters will begin to have doubts. So, when Obama innocently slips in a presure situation and refers to "my Muslim faith" McCain doesn't have to do or say a thing. He adds a few percentage points to his side.

The ultra-conservative "Moonie"-owned Washington Times did a fair job in reporting the slip, referring to Obama as "a Christian" who "often proudly speaks about how his faith has influenced his public service." So far, though, much of the rest of the media (other than the blogs and YouTube) are ignoring the story. And, of course, the real story isn't that Obama has snapped under pressure and finally in a Fruedian-gaffe revealed his secret, but how such an understandable and simple blunder is perceived and processed by the public. ~ link
