Ted Gossard has a very fine summary and review of Scot McKnight's new book The Blue Parakeet: Rethinking How You Read the Bible ~ link

Sometimes it takes an agonizingly long time for mail to get to the islands. It was different this time. The NLT Study Bible that I ordered Thursday night from Amazon arrived in this afternoon's mail. Four days -- two of which were on the weekend -- amazing.

Shell announced today that they're dropping the price of gas on Guam to $4.149/gallon -- that's a 10¢ reduction. I'm guessing that Mobil and 76 will follow.

For Fun:
The Archbishop of Canterbury, Rowen Williams officially announced today that the Anglican Church would be issuing a posthumous apology on behalf of "all Christians everywhere" to the Biblical character of Achan, the son of Carmi, the son of Zabdi, the son of Zerah, from the tribe of Judah. ~ link
Scot McKnight on why college students are turning liturgical. ~ link
