"God became man that we might become gods" ~ St Athanasius (Not that we literally become divine beings -- as in polytheism. Rather Athanasius was saying that through the incarnation the image of God in which we were originally created is restored and God graciously allows us to participate in his divine nature -- cf. 2 Peter 1:4.)

Betsy's luggage is supposed to be on a plane moving toward Guam but they're not able to track it right now. So, no one is sure where it is. If it doesn't arrive tonight we'll visit Kmart which opens again tomorrow. UPDATE: The luggage arrived tonight on the flight from Honolulu.

The US military is embracing green in a big way and the new Marine base that they're building on Guam will be "the greenest military base in the world." Sounds intriguing -- although they're not saying what it is that they're doing to make the new Guam operation so green.

Guam has been beat up so badly over the years by both locals and occupiers that using the new base as a green prototype is fabulous news -- perhaps signaling a shift in mentality -- or potential shift... Any little movement this direction is significant here.

"All things are better in Koine" ("common Greek" -- the original language of the New Testament). That's easy for you guys who aced Greek to say. Some of us "B" students were happy to just survive it -- although I'm grateful that I had it.
