THERE WAS a lot of extra traffic on our street yesterday morning as I was loading the church's trailer in my driveway. So I stepped around the corner and saw that the police were diverting traffic off 51st Ave and onto our street because of a crash that sent three people, including two police officers to the hospital. The wreck occurred at 12:20 a.m. and the road was closed until mid-afternoon. ~ AZ Central

WONDERFUL SURPRISE! -- Jon Bredow dropped in on us at MasterPiece yesterday morning. Jon is a professor of electrical engineering at the University of Texas Arlington and was in Phoenix for a work-related meeting. He and Denise, and their two boys, were a part of our church plant in Bedford, Texas -- some 20 years ago.

WE'RE AT that stage where six additional adults on a Sunday morning make a world of difference in the dynamic of the whole group. Yesterday morning was great!
