Guam celebrated the 63rd anniversary of the liberation of the island from the Japanese occupiers. The parade down Marine Corps Drive was a blast -- even though it rained a lot (a parade tradition). Cheryl and I missed the Marine band because the parade actually started 20 minutes early! I suppose they figured that everyone was there and ready -- just standing around in the rain waiting -- why not? The whole event was extremely well organized and orchestrated. My only suggestion would be to put the carabao at the end of the parade or to assign a pooper scooper. :)
One of the surprises in the parade was the Chilean Navy band and sailors marching. They must have a ship in port.
