• Now I remember -- you can sleep with your windows open, and hear distant trains and too close mocking birds in the middle of the night. Also, my toes and fingers have a tendency to get cold -- even in the warm California spring. There are certain things that people forget when they live on a tropical island. But it's good to rediscover it all -- that is, except the cold part.
