• I just spent another $190 on new books for the PIBC libraries today -- tapping the commissions that you all have generated through the affiliates links in the left column. So far your purchases have produced $221.27 in 2008 -- $682.91 since September 29th, 2006. Our students on Guam, Chuuk, and Palau thank you.
• For a $5 fee people in Nakhon Nayok, Thailand can be "born-again" in an unusual Buddhist ritual. It's a way to get rid of bad karma and start all over again. Interesting theological shift -- although Thai Buddhism tends to do a lot of shifting. ~ link

• I receive invitations everyday from people who want me to join this network or that -- a lot of hi5 recently. But at least for now, in the interest of focus (of which I am lacking these days), I'm just doing Facebook (moderate maintenance -- social in nature) and LinkedIn (low maintenance -- professional in nature). I have enjoyed reconnecting with lots of old friends on Facebook.
